    Have empty level 2 tab!

    I am using IB and have a subscription to level 2 data.

    Everything works fine but the level 2 window is empty!

    Help me, please!

      Hello elixirtrip,

      Thank you for posting in our forum. As you are enabled for the real-time Level II data on IB's side (as you have indicated), you should be receiving Level II data in your platform.

      Please refer to the connection guide linked below, to make sure you have configured your connection to TWS correctly. Additionally, please make sure you're running the appropriate version of TWS (included in the link below).

          Thank you for your reply, and for confirming that you have properly configured your IB account connection in NinjaTrader 8.

          My next suggestion is to reset your instruments. To reset your instruments, please take the steps below.

          First, disconnect from any data providers by navigating to the Control Center > Connections menu, and left-click on “disconnect” that appears to the right when hovering your mouse over any active connection
          Next, reset your instruments by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
          In the Database Management window, under the “Update instruments” section, ensure that “General properties”, "Futures expiries" and “Symbol mappings” options are checked and then click Update
          Lastly, restart NinjaTrader for the changes to occur

            I reset instruments as u sad... But it changes nothing(

            So I found that it works not for all stocks... For example, it works for BMRN, but not for NBEV... Any idea, why?

              Hello elixirtrip,

              Thank you for your reply. Interactive Brokers has a three instrument level 2 data maximum per session.

              Disconnecting/reconnecting from the Interactive Brokers connection will 'free-up' the market data slots. Additionally, you can speak to IB about increasing the amount of simultaneous level II requests.

                  Hello elixirtrip,

                  As a test, please take the following steps to force NinjaTrader to start without your saved workspace. You will have the option to reopen these after our tests.

                  * Shut down NinjaTrader

                  * Navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 8\workspaces

                  * Move all of the files in this folder to a new location. For example, you can drag them to the desktop temporarily.

                  * Restart NinjaTrader 8 which should start up with a blank workspace

                  In this new, blank workspace, please try to open a level 2 window with your NBEV instrument selected. If you are still not seeing the level 2 data, please reach out to IB for more information regarding the data provided for this specific instrument.

                        Micah it is not "specific"... It is usual! As many others! which do not work in your program and work in the TWS. you propose to solve the problem of your program by another broker?

                        if in your support the task is to throw the problem to another, without really figuring out what's happening, then I'm going to cancel my purchase ... Fortunately, not so much time has passed...........

                          NBEV is indeed a specific instrument, which trades on a specific exchange. Please ask your broker, Interactive Brokers, for more information regarding the message you received, and what it means for the NBEV equity instrument:

                          "Received unknown error/warning: Deep market data is not supported for this combination of security type/exchange"
