    Floor pivots

    Hello:

    When I plot the pivot points in NT8 are totally different from NT7. How can I fix it?

    Thank you for posting in our forum. So that I may better assist, can you please provide the following information?

    What specific versions of NinjaTrader (both 7 and 8) are you using? This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X or 8.0.X.0)

    Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

    Who is your data provider?

    What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

    (For a chart) what interval is selected?

    In the Data Series menu, what session template/trading hours is selected (For both NT7 and 8)?

    For your Pivots indicator, have you checked the parameters in both NT7 and 8 to make sure everything is set the same?

    Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

      Hello Micah:

      I have 7.0.1000.34 Direct and 8.0.9.0 Direct, both 64 bits
      My connection is NinjaTrader Continuum. I use the same in both platforms
      I have checked in CL and 6E in 30 min charts, but it happens in every one
      For session, I always use "instrument settings"
      I have pivots daily and daily bars in both platforms
      No error message, only different figures

        Hello, and thank you for your reply.

        Please first verify that you are using the same data provider in both NinjaTrader 7 and 8, and have the same information in the Data Series menu: Type, Value, Days to load, Session Template/Trading hours, etc..

        Next, in the indicators menu in both NT7 and 8, please make sure you have the calculation mode for the pivots indicator set the same. In NT7 this is called "PriorDayHLC" and in NT8 this is called "HLC calculation mode." Please ensure these are set to the same in both platforms.
