ZS Open Interest Chart

I would like to chart the daily open interest of Soybean futures (ZS 11-17). I'm subscribed to Kinetick data which provides open interest. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks for writing in to our Support team and welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forum!

One of my colleagues has created an Open Interest indicator which pulls Open Interest data from the CFTC website and plots it on your charts. We don't have an indicator that will pull the values from your data provider available for free on our forums currently.

Here is a basic guideline of how to import NinjaScript add-ons in NinjaTrader 8:

Note — To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

To Import:

Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.

From the Control Center window select the menu Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on

Select the downloaded .zip file

NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.
Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'

Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by:

Right click your chart > indicators > Select the Indicator from the list on the left > New > OK

If you want to view the open interest values provided by Kinetick, we would have to view these in the Market Analyzer.

1. Go to New --> Market Analyzer
2. Right Click on the Market Analyzer Window
3. Select Columns
4. Add the Open Interest column to view the Open Interest values provided by Kinetick

This is possible, but currently we do not have an indicator available on the forum to the public that pulls the open interest values from your data provider.

There is a possibility that in the near future one of our NinjaScript representatives will post an indicator that retrieves fundamental data from your data provider to plot it on your chart.

There also may be third party vendors that have a product available for purchase that does this.

If you would like, I can get you in contact with a member of our NinjaTrader Ecosystem team to provide you with a list of NinjaScript consultants that you can work with to create or guide you in creating this indicator.

Open Interest Indicator

Hi,

I have installed the indicator and placed it on my weekly SP e-mini chart. Now I have text on the chart saying: "Need to fix current year data link, Contact Alan Palmer".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
