Tick chart and superdom quote out of sync.

Ive been testing the platform. sometimes the tick charts seem to slow down and take a few minutes to catch up and sync up with the superdom. disconnecting from CQG and reconnecting seems to be the most consistent fix but i really would not prefer having to check repeatedly if the tick charts are caught up or not. is it an issue with sim or would this issue occur live as well?

Thank you for your post.

As long as you're running the most up-to-date release of NinjaTrader 8, a reset of your instruments should resolve this.

First, please check under Help>About to see which version of NinjaTrader 8 you're running. The current release is 8.0.9.0. If you see a different version listed, please first follow the steps below to upgrade your platform.

First, get your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
Enter your license key and press Submit
Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
Select 'Download'
Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

Next, to reset your instruments, please take the steps below.

First, disconnect from any data providers by navigating to the Control Center > Connections menu, and left-click on “disconnect” that appears to the right when hovering your mouse over any active connection
Next, reset your instruments by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
In the Database Management window, under the “Update instruments” section, ensure that “General properties”, "Futures expiries" and “Symbol mappings” options are checked and then click Update
Lastly, restart NinjaTrader for the changes to occur
