Recko bars

Hello staycool3_a,

Renko bars are formed based on movement which requires all of the individual ticks to get all of individual prices to know when to form a new bar.

This would be extremely inaccurate with minute data.
(Basically imagine the renko bar is created with only 1 tick received every minute.)

Yea, I only have minute data. Why limit them to only tick? Are range bars also tick?

I'm not quite sure that I understand.

Renko bars are made from tick data based on the logic written into the @RenkoBarsType.cs file.

Are you trying to make Renko bars from minute data?
I'm not aware of any script that does this.

Hi,

is there a way to convert custom data to renko bars? It looks like ninjatrader has is unable to convert OHLC data to renko bars. But rather, it’s fetching the renko bars from a data provider? (I have 10 years if audusd data, was not connected to any data provider and tried to load a renko chart. It didn’t load anything until I connected to a data provider.) I was under the impression that renko bars are logically created by NT. Is that not the case? If no, do you know if any Indicator that can convert OHLC to renko?
