    Computer blocked


    Hello, I'm a Ninja user and I've been using it for ten years. I have created many indicators and automatic systems. So far, I have not had problems but since I use version 8, my computer is constantly blocked when I'm debugging a strategy. I have a computer with 8 GB of RAM and Windows 10. What could be happening? Thanks in advance for your help.

    What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.X)

    What does 'blocked' mean exactly? Does NinjaTrader become unresponsive? Please go into further detail about the symptom you're describing as 'blocked', and also what steps you're taking that causes the issue (or does it seem random?)

      I always use the latest available version of Nintrader 8. But since I have Ninjtrader 8, problems are repeated very often. My computer takes a long time to start Ninjatrader 8, the locks are repeated, the code that previously worked perfectly in Ninjatrader 7, now after having translated it to Ninjatrader 8 it does not work the same way. Honestly, I think that Ninjatrader 8 has many improvements over Ninjatrader 7 but in this sense it is making me consider changing completely platform, after more than ten years using Ninjatrader.

        It is my only goal to ensure that NinjaTrader is working as expected. I think it would be best if we looked into this via email so I can gather more specific information about your NinjaTrader. Please write into PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]com with a link to this forum thread and '1994316 ATTN Patrick G' so we may resolve the issues you're experiencing.

        Do any of the symptoms you're reporting occur in safe mode? Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:
        • Loading workspaces.
        • Connecting on start-up.
        • Loading custom assemblies.
        • Getting instrument updates from the server.
        To enable safe mode, please use the following steps:
        • Exit NinjaTrader.
        • Hold the CONTROL key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
        • Keep the CONTROL key held down until you see the Control Center.
        • You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.
        Once in safe mode, try reproducing any of the symptoms you've reported.
