Strategy Analyzer - Export to Excel

    Hi

When you export results from the Log, is there a way to specify which data fields you can export?

As an example, when you export from the log it does not export Avg losing trade, ratio avg win/avg loss. Just like to be able to customise the fields it pulls out into Excel.

    Many thanks
    Steve

    Hello Steve,

Unfortunately this is not supported. When I test it on my end, I do have Avg. losing trade and Ratio avg. win/avg.loss in Excel. Are you able to reproduce consistently?

What NinjaTrader 8 version do you have installed (8.0.x.0). You can check this at Control Center-->Help-->About.

      Hi Jason

      Thanks for the quick response.

When I export from the Log window, it's the below fields I get
      Instrument
      Backtest type
      Date
      Strategy
      Data Series
      Start date
      End date
      Parameters
      Total net profit
      Total # of trades
      Notes
      Pinned

I think your export is possibly from the Strat Analyzer window, and not the Log? I'm trying to export strategy results data on an instrument list, as opposed to a single instrument.
I was just trying to get all the data on one sheet from NT8, so I can compare easily. As opposed to opening each one in the Analyzer, exporting, and then having to create a summary sheet to compare it all

      Thanks
      STeve

Sorry, I missed the other part of your question. I'm on 8.0.10.0

I see. Yes, I exported by right clicking in the Strategy Analyzer results. I now understand you perform a backtest on an instrument list and then right click an instrument in the Log section of the Strategy Analyzer.

Unfortunately it is as expected that only these items are exported this way. If you like all results, you would have to export each instrument individually. I will forward the suggestion to choose what items are exported to development to put it on the list of possible future enhancements.

            Hello Steve,

You can export the items you like as follows when exporting data to Excel from the Log section. Please right click in the Log section of the Strategy Analyzer and select 'Properties'. Click 'Columns - Log' and enable/disable the columns you like. Click OK and export the data to Excel.

Let me know if this will not work for you.
