I can't attach orders to indicators with NT8.0.16.3

    I can't attach orders to indicators with NT8.0.16.3

    I just have updated the NT8 platform, and recompiled my indicators, and I notice that the context menu to attach an order to a indicator appears disabled.

    I could not found any check to enable/disable in the settings. I have tried to restart NT8, recompile again, etc, but with the same results.

    Any ideas please?

    Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com.

    - Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
    - Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    - Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    - Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

    Within the body of the email please add:
    ATTN Kate

          Hello asterio,

          Thank you for your post.

          When you right click on the order, which text exactly is grayed out when you try to add the order to an indicator? Properties is the option you need to choose in order to attach the order initially - Enabled will be grayed out until you select which indicator to attach the order to in that Properties window.

            Both: "Enabled" and "Properties" as the last time.

            Please find attached a picture when I open the menu over an active order.

                The problem was fixed reinstalling the TWS 973 version, and everything was running as normally.

                  Hi Kate,

                  I have the exact same problem - the bug appears - and sometimes it's working again.
                  Currently, I have a disabled "attach to indicator" menu entry as shown in the image above.

                  Could you please investigate under which circumstances the menu is grayed out? Maybe this will give us a hint what the problem can be.

                  BTW. I'm using NT 8.0.20.0 64-bit and have two IB connections open, which may cause the problem?

                    Hello hiikila,

                    Thank you for your post.

                    The first thing to do would be to check which version of TWS or IB Gateway you are using with NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader 8 requires you to use one of the following two versions:You can check your version of TWS or IB Gateway on the splash screen that displays when they are started (sometimes called a build number). If it's anything than what's listed above, please uninstall your current version and reinstall the correct one from the link above.

                    Once you've ensured you have the correct version, start NinjaTrader and connect to your IB connection. I noted you mentioned having multiple IB connections running at once - are you using TWS for one and IB Gateway for the other or are you trying to use one version for both?
