Running NT7 after NT8 installation

Hello,

Can I still trade with NT7 after installing NT8?

I'd like some transition time familiarizing with and testing my indicators on NT8 before fully switching over from NT7.

Would my data subscription (NinjaTrader Continuum) work on one or the other platform (but not both at the same time)? In other words, would I need a separate data subscription during the transition time? My broker is Phillip Capital.

Where can I find the latest NT8 installation instructions?

Thanks for your post.

NinjaTrader 8 installs in its own unique folder that is not associated with NinjaTrader 7 and they are two separate programs. You may run NinjaTrader 7 and NinjaTrader 8 simultaneously, however you may not be connected to the same account or use the same license key simultaneously.

Your NinjaTrader Continuum data subscription would work on both platforms, but would not connect to both platform at the same time. As long as you are connected to a different account and are not using the same live license key then you will be able to run NinjaTrader 7 and NinjaTrader 8 at the same time.
