Chart loading times for tick charts make NinjaTrader unusable

I am using NinjaTrader 8.0.16.2 with Kinetick data feed. With the latest releases of NinjaTrader chart loading times for tick charts have increased dramatically.

Here is one example: I am toggling between a 5 minute and a 1000 tick chart for EURUSD, both with a lookback period of 65 days.


Loading time for the naked 5 minute chart: fractions of a second (as expected)

Loading time for the naked 1000 tick chart when connected: between 2 minutes and 3 minutes

Loading time for the naked 1000 tick chart when disconnected: around 10 seconds


I am sorry. A chart loading time of close to 3 minutes for a naked 1000 tick chart with a lookback period of 65 days is not at all acceptable.

When you had launched NinjaTrader you had been proud that NinjaTrader 8 did load much faster than NinjaTrader 7.

And it did load much faster.

Now the product seems to be broken and cannot no longer be used in an orderly way.

Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with "ATTN CHRIS S" in the subject line so I may investigate this matter further.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

Excuse me Harry, I found no other way to contact you
I was very happy to install your "Fibonacci Cluster", but my terminal is unable to display any pivot (see attachment).
I tried to change the lookback period, yet with no result.
Why?
