    Can't Cancel Orders

Two orders have shown up on my ES charts (only on my ES charts), 1 for a Sell LMT at 2673.5 and the other for a Sell STP at 2665.5.

Neither activated when the price moved through those prices. However, they are annoying because my chart resizes to include them.

I can't remove them with the SuperDom or ChartTrader. Right-clicking on the orders to cancel doesn't work. I don't have any active Strategies enabled.

I tried upgrading to the latest NT8 but no luck.

My guess is that they have something to do with a Strategy I imported. The NinjaScript Editor compiles fine. I suppose if there isn't some other fix I will delete the imported Strategies one by one until the orders disappear.

Any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hello johnsearles,

    Thanks for your post.

CRITICAL — If your inquiry involves live orders, please always reach out to your broker's Orders Desk immediately to confirm and manage your live orders and positions. If your trades are with NinjaTrader Brokerage, you can contact NinjaTrader Brokerage Order Desk here:

    Phone: 312.423.2234

Email: orders at ninjatrader dot com

Is this for a live order or for an order placed on a Simulated Account?

I look forward to your reply.

I didn't think of that. Yes, it is a Sim Account. I can switch to my Live Account or another Sim Account and the orders disappear. I can delete that Sim Account and start another.

Any idea what caused this to happen?

        Hello,

        Thank you for your post.

We advise that you reset the Simulation account to resolve this item.

Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account.

From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the Accounts tab
Right click on your simulation account and select 'Edit Account'
        Press the "Reset" button
Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

I have the same problem. there is a sell stop order on my Sim account that I cannot clear. In the control Center under the Orders tab there are 2 pending order lines. The cancel button does not work. Method described above with "Reset Button" does not work. I'm using NinjaTrader 64-bit 7.0.1000.37.

          Thanks,
          Craig

craigdcraig, Sometimes in cases of corruption you need to rename the database. You can do this by following the steps below.
            • Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
            • Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> DB--> NinjaTrader.SDF.
            • Right click on NinjaTrader.SDF and select "Rename." *Name it "OLDNinjaTrader.SDF."
            • Then restart the software and NinjaTrader will create a fresh database file to use
            • Unfortunately the following items stored in the old database will be lost - ATM Strategy templates, Session templates, Instrument Lists / Custom Instruments, historical trade execution data, saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results
