    Strategy Builder: Control Bar missing

    Hello,

    after updating to version 8.0.15 I experienced a strange effect: The control bar of the strategy builder is missing and I am not able to restore it via re-installations of different versions, pls. see attachments. I tried re-installations of 8.0.15, 8.0.14 and 8.0.13 with and without PC restarts after the de-installations.

    Do you have any idea what to do else?

    Thank you for your note.

    At this point it would be best to try a complete uninstall and reinstall. Please note that you will need to reinstall any NinjaScript add-ons and that any workspaces, templates, and other data files will need to be manually moved to the corresponding folder in the new installation in order to be carried over and that you'll need to re-setup your connection(s). For further assistance with this, please write in directly to our Platform Support inbox at platformsupport (AT) ninjatrader (DOT) com.

    Please follow the steps listed below to completely uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader.
    • If possible, copy your license key from the Control Center > Help > License Key.
    • Close all running applications.
    • Navigate to your Documents folder > Right click on the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 8 OLD'. DO NOT delete this folder.
    • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
    • Navigate to C:\ > Program File (x86) > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder if it exists
    • Reboot your PC.
    • Once these steps are completed, download and install NT8 from the link below.

      Hello Kate,

      the re-installation worked after renaming the <NinjaTrader 8> folder, many thanks. I ever thought this folder would only host custom data but it seams it also influences the NT program itself. Did other users experienced a similar effect and where exactly could it come from?

        Thank you for your reply.

        Honestly, it could have been a number of things - an issue with a specific workspace, a bad UI file, or even something else entirely. The complete uninstall/reinstall is the most expeditious way of resolving the issue without going through a number of additional troubleshooting steps.
