    Candlestick Patterns in Real-Time?

Are the built-in Candlestick Patterns supposed to be in real-time?

For me they are not and to get them to refresh I need to remove and add again.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Whether or not an indicator is "real-time" is determined by it's "calculate" property. By default, this is set to "On bar close" so I would only expect the candlestick pattern indicator to update when the bar closes on your chart. If you change "Calculate" to "On price change", this should force the indicator to update every time the price changes. You can change this by right-clicking on your chart > Indicators > Select your Candlestick Pattern indicator from the "Configured" list > Adjust the "Calculate" property as desired > OK.

There seems to be a bug for me.

When I open up Indicators and try to change from On Bar Close to Price or Tick, I hit apply and OK. Nothing happens.

When I open back up Indicators it's back to On Bar Close.

Even with On Bar Close, the data is not updating in real-time.

Here is an Unlisted Youtube video demonstrating my issue.

      Thanks for the expedient response.

After some further research, it looks like this is purposeful. The candlestick pattern can't be verified/true until the close of the bar, so the Candlestick Pattern indicator is 'locked' to calculate=on bar close.

When I test on my end with a Doji pattern, I see that the patterns update on bar close when a new pattern is detected:

On your end, are you saying that the indicator is loaded, x number of patterns are detected, and then you do not see that number increase/change until you remove/add the indicator? Can you provide an example of this?

You're right, it appears to be purposeful. Thank you.

Try this one and see what happens. It works on NT8.
