I would like to request an option for one or more of the following in one of the next releases of Ninjatrader 8:
* To be able to set a time limit for how long a partial fill can remain before it is cancelled
* To be able to set partial fills to not occur; to require that all fills be complete fills
* To be able to cancel a partial fill in progress quickly and with ease
The reason being, I have had a partial fill take too long to process in the past, and I was not able to cancel the partial fill when I tried. And in the meanwhile, since quite a bit of time had passed, the market had completely changed and I no longer wanted to be filled after such a delay.
Not being able to cancel a partial fill after too much time has passed can cause large unnecessary losses, for sizable postion size trades.
It can also cause missed trades in the opposite direction, as the trader waits for the partial fill to get executed.
