    Internet Time Sync With Ninja Charts

    Something really Wrong here;

    If you adjust your computer system clock with Time.Window.com or time.nist.gov you will have two different times that about 3.21 min different. This cause bar timer indicators of chart to act differently. It is the first time observed. Could be due to Gov shutdown or whatever, but definitely impacts the relationship between Ninja and system clock. No problem with Time.Windows.com snyc. time.nist.gov definely has problems.

    Any comments or similar observations?

    I can't find any readily available information about time.nist.gov being unavailable due to the current government shutdown. Are you able to locate information regarding this? Could you provide a screenshot showing the differences between the two servers?

    Also, can you go into further detail about how this affecting your NinjaTrader?

      You can adjust your computer system time (Adjust date/time in windows) using the options time.windows.com and time.nist.gov, and you should see the difference comparing when system time to another clock 9your watch or mobile).

      When system clock adjusted to time.nist.gov time plot a 1min ES chart and use the Bar time indicator. You will see the countdown to start 3:21 seconds larger the 60 seconds and resets at 3;21.

      The issue maybe only during the live market since the market is closed now.

      No info of the impact of shutdown to confirm, just speculation. But so weird!

        It is true that if your PC clock is out of sync you'll notice secondary symptoms like the bar timer issue you're reporting, however, most data provider's supply data that is 'natively' time stamped, means that the raw data will not be affected by this issue.

        I suggest using the Windows time server if the NIST server is currently causing sync issues.
