Set Order limit on Ninjatrader8

Hi there,

I would like to know if I can set a max number the order before I press Buy or Sell, for example, I want to no excess 2 order per time, or open orders accidentally

note: I am not using any script

It would not be possible to limit your open order quantity through the platform without using a script. You may be able to limit the max number of open orders through your broker directly though.

Hi Josh, is possible to set a script to pop-up window order confirmation when my open orders are 2+? if it is possible what commands can I use?

Alejandro,

You could use create a log entry with LogLevel.Alert to create a pop up window. You may also be able to create such a pop up window through the use of an addon, although I do not have any examples.

You would need to monitor your positions PnL and then execute the log whenever your condition has been met.
