Buy Sell Volume Indicator

Dear Support

When this indicator is applied, it begins plotting from the current bar. However, if any change is made to the chart such as adding another indicator the BuySellVolume indicator will start from the current bar again and will not use the history data.

Is this an expected behavior? Are not the ask and bid data included in the database now (no need for recorder)?

Glad to assist. This is expected, though may be possible with use of tick replay. From our help guide on tick replay indicators: "When Tick Replay is disabled, these indicators function only on real-time data, and therefore do not plot any values on historical data. If you change any property, interval, or instrument on a chart with Tick Replay disabled, these indicators will be reloaded and any accumulated real-time data plots will be lost. However, with Tick Replay enabled, they will plot historical data, although due to the way that Tick Replay processes data, the historical plots may not display precisely the same values as they would have if they had been running in real time."

I did enable the Tick Replay, however no history data will appear in a live tick chart for the attached Buy Sell Volume indicator after any changes to the chart.

Thank you for your note.

When you state that Tick Replay is enabled, are you referring to specifically the setting under the Control Center>Tools>Options>Market Data>Show Tick Replay? This is the first step to enabling tick replay on a chart. Once this option is set you also will need to enable Tick Replay from the data series on the chart you're on. To do this, right click on the chart, click Data Series, and there now should an option to enable Tick Replay.

If all these are enabled and you're still continuing to experience behavior of not seeing historical data load on your indicator, please write into [email protected] referencing this Forum post so that we may investigate this behavior with your computer/platform.

I looked at the code for the indicator and realized there is a bug. The buy volume is a misnomer; it should be total volume.
