Lagging chart
Hi, I've notice with an influx in volume NT8 starts to lag. My cursor is choppy as I move it around and consequently moving orders is also choppy. I've attached the ninja script monitor. I'm not an expect but the bar style of OHLC seems to be taking a lot of processing power. Note I left the monitor running for 10 minutes.Tags: None

I'd like to first mention that items being in this list, or being at the top of this list, are not inherently bad. It just indicates the cumulative calculation time of those NinjaScript items.
Typically when a build-in chart style appears at the top of this list, it means one of two things:- There are a lot of OHLC chart styles running ( a lot of charts)
- How many total charts windows are open?
- In those chart windows, how many tabs are there?
- In those tabs, how many total indicators are applied?
- The OHLC chart style is being modified by another NinjaScript item
- What is the bar type on which OHLC chart style is selected? For example, 5 minute, 4 Renko, etc.
- There are a lot of OHLC chart styles running ( a lot of charts)

One chart with one tab. Ticks are being used at 610 OHLC with HLC mode, only 30 days are loaded. I have no scripts that are running that are modifying it. Even on a naked chart, the problem persists.

I checked with another user of NT8 and OHLC bars and they do not have as nearly as much processing time on the OHLC as me. I can run both NT7 and NT8 and NT7 runs perfectly with the indicators, or naked.

Yes on three days, it continues to struggle. Perhaps it has something to do with the current bar, not necessarily all the previous ones.

So we can further diagnose your system, please start NinjaTrader in Safe Mode.
Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:- Loading workspaces.
- Connecting on start-up.
- Loading custom assemblies.
- Getting instrument updates from the server.
- Exit NinjaTrader.
- Hold the CONTROL key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
- Keep the CONTROL key held down until you see the Control Center.
- You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.
You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support
Expand 'Other files' and enable 'Workspace files and UI settings'.
