    Trade Detector

Ran the new order flow indicators this week.

The one I did have a problem running was the Trade Detector on a 1 second line chart.

When i scrolled the chart backwards in time Ninjatrader 8 crashed. Tested a few times - crashed religiously and repeatedly.

I also let it run overnight and I suspect it has a heck of memory leak - I think it was 12-15 gigs of memory by the morning. Cancelled it immediately by rebooting Ninja. Never ran it again and never had a problem again.

I ran the vwap, cumm delta and the market depth map without issue since release. Also ran the volumetric bars for a while - it seemed ok.

Not going to try the trade detector until next release.

    Thanks for the other indicators.

    mmaker,

    Thanks for posting.

So far I have not been able to replicate this on my end. Does this occur with any instrument you test, or just certain instruments? Which instruments have you tested so far?

Who do you connect to for data? Are you connected to your data provider when you see this?

      Hi, same with me.
First off the Trade Detector is awesome!! Problem is it crashes very quickly and within 5 minutes of me loading it every time.

I'm using it on ES with CQG data on a 1000 volume bar chart. Live market. I have only 100 bars loaded and no other windows or indicators running and it still crashes after a few minutes.

About how many markers are on your charts when the issue occurs?

Are you using Trade Detector with default settings? If not, what settings have you customized?

Does the issue persist if you disable 'Show values on hover'?

I'd like to see more detail from your log and trace files to assist in diagnosing what you're reporting.

Please write into PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]com with a link to this forum thread and '1843642 ATTN Patrick G' in the subject or body of the message.

Attach your log and trace files to the email:
        • Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
        • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
        • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
        • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
