Order Flow Indicator and Forex

Great to hear that you are adding an Order Flow indicator. Thanks.

I use one now with the futures markets, but it does not work with Forex. I contacted a Order Flow indicator vendor and he told me that Forex does not have a bid and an ask, so Order Flow cannot be displayed with Forex.

Is that true? Or does your Order Flow indicator work with Forex?

With the Order Flow indicator that I am using now, in Forex, I only see prints on the bid side, the ask side is always all zeros.

I have not yet installed the latest version of NT8. I need to make backups, create a system restore point, and so on, first.

Glad to assist. These items are also true in NinjaTrader's Order flow+, Forex chart data is bid-driven and will plot in the same manner as your current indicator.

You are correct: There is no possible way to use Order Flow with Forex data.

The Order Flow tools are configured to analyze trade data. Since Forex is not traded on a centralized exchange, there is no trade data available. In other words, there is no "tape" available for Forex trades. Because of this limitation in Forex data, using Order flow is not possible.
