    Add Custom Defaults when enabling strategy

    How would I add custom variables that are set when I enable the strategy? For example: targets, stops, order quantity, etc.

    Hello Lumbeezl,
    Thanks for your post.

    You would do this by creating a public property for the variable and setting it inside State.SetDefaults. Something like the following snippet:

    Code:
    [NinjaScriptProperty]
    [Range(1, double.MaxValue)]
    [Display(Name="MyInt", Order=1, GroupName="Parameters")]
    public int MyInt
    { get; set; }

    I suggest creating your inputs in the Strategy Builder first, and then viewing the code to see what was added.

      Why would you want a public variable and not private?

        Lumbeezl,

        Because you have a property. This is really a general C# concept so I suggest doing your own research on this one.

        Essentially it allows you to access the variable from outside of the script.
