    I can't run NinjaTrader 8

    Hi, NT8 worked fine previously on my laptop with Windows 10. I tried to run it today but it failed.

    I downloaded the newest NT8 version and installed. But nothing happens, when I try to start the app even as administrator, without any process in Task Manager.

    NT8 added in the whitelist to Windows Defender Firewall.

    What should I do?

    Thank you for your post.



    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email
    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com Attn: Dennis Platform Support Request 2112123
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

        To resolve this please uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader. Following these steps will not affect your data, settings, configuration, NinjaScripts, Workspaces, etc.
        • Exit NinjaTrader and uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Center
        • Once uninstalled you can re-download NinjaTrader
        • Download and then run the installer
        This worked for me. Special thanks to Dennis.

          I'm having the same problem. Windows 10 pro. I've installed the application. When I try to open either the 64bit or 32bit, I get the spinning icon, then nothing. There is no foldler in the documents directory called Ninjatrader, so I can't send anything to you. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and rebooted. No joy!

            craigsn, if you installed the app successfully, you might have Ninjatrader folder in Documents - you can find Documents at the left-hand side, when run File Explorer or open any folder. Because by default your personal settings, workspaces etc. are saved in Documents/Ninjatrader

              For these types of errors, it is always best if you contact us via email - there is not enough information to go on in the forums to provide you with any meaningful support for what you're experiencing.
