Strategies enabled by default at startup

Hello,

Could we request to have the strategies enabled by default upon starting NT8?

I do not understand why this has not been done already. NT8 should be s software for automated trading, and yet, there are yet so many manual annoyances, such as this one.

Can I automatically activate my strategy using the strategy code in C #?
Adding the line below in the strategy constructor method, would it be automatically enabled?

There would not be a supported method for enabling a strategy from code.

I have added a vote for you to a current feature request to be able to enable a strategy from a script. This request is being tracked under the number SFT-2844.

bertochi, thank you for your reply but we do need confirmation from the user themselves that they would like to add a vote and have not previously added one - you cannot add a vote for someone else simply because they comment on the thread.

As previously stated, with all feature requests, interest is tracked before implementation is considered, so we cannot offer an ETA or promise of fulfillment. We get a large number of requests and our development team assesses each request with more than just community interest - complexity, whether it may break or change existing functionality, and more go into whether a request is added to the platform.

I humbly dared to add my vote to this request as the implementation of this would make the platform a more realistic tool for automated trading. This would not be a mere cosmetic update such as improving the look of a chart or adding a time zone, etc, again, in my humble opinion.

Yes, one would think that would be a pretty important feature for automatic trading software--"to automatically trade". I already have a Scheduled Task to spawn NT8 (and kill it), 10min prior to opening (and 10min after closing). Would love to have my strategy actually start on time in case I'm stuck somewhere and can't do it manually. It's really ridiculous when you think about it, given just how long this piece of software has been around...Big "yes" on that feature vote please.

What is the current number of votes for this feature and how many are needed for it to be implemented?




I really do not understand how a feature as important as this one has been requested for so long and until today we have not implemented it, and technically simple to implement.




NT8 is a tool for automating trades. How can I have a 100% automatic strategy without this feature?




Please, I suggest a special attention on this feature.
