    Playback / Market replay anomalous behaviour

    Hi there.

    Recently my Playback function has not been working properly. When I connect to Playback Connection and select a day to play, Playback will
    • Attempt to load the day prior to the day I selected (irrespective of date)
    • Hang, with no other option but to disconnect Playback Connection

    This behaviour appears to take place on some days but not on others.


    I have taken the following steps to try and address the problem
    • cleared NinjaTrader 8\db\cache folder
    • cleared NinjaTrader 8\cache folder
    • Reset DB
    • Repaired DB
    • Erased and reloaded contract data for the days affected

    None of the above helped solve the problem.

    Update: using Safe Mode appears to solve the problem.

      Hello ntuser2017,

      Thanks for posting.

      I suspect that if it is working in Safe Mode and does not in regular mode that a custom assembly or a corrupted Workspace have something to do with your Market Replay not functioning properly, however this is hard to tell without further diagnosing your platform.

      I'm happy to check into this with you if you would please email us at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. In your message please include a link to this forum thread and a message 'ATTN Sergey'.

      Additionally, please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.
      • Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
      • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
      • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
      • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
