Adjusting / Increasing wick thickness, and borders on candles

Is there a method for adjusting / increasing the thickness on candle wicks? And selecting a border around candle bodies? On NT8, the wicks are barely visible, and, the candle bodies have 'fuzzy' definition at their borders / edges.

It makes viewing the candles less \user-friendly', in my honest opinion. Quite a contrast (or lack thereof) compared to NT7.

In short, the candles and wicks need improved definition(s).

How is this done please? I've looked, but thus far, have not seen how it\s done. Thank you.


And no, I am not going to 'draw in a wick at candles'. That's what the program is supposed to do.

Thank you for your post. Just to make sure the chart is loading as expected, can you please let us know following?

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X or 8.0.X.0)

Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.


What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

(For a chart) what interval is selected?

Can you please post a screen shot of the chart and chart wicks?

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your help. Attached is a chart image, it can be seen the wicks are nearly the same color as the chart background . Nearly impossible to see the wicks,( not dark enough, not wide enough, or both) and as stated earlier, the candles have a 'fuzzy edge' resolution, they are better viewed, in my opinion, with a border to accentuate the contrast making them easier to distinguish.

It is NT8, 8.0.12.0, chart is 300 tick es, the same thing occurs with time-based charts. Feed is contiunuum demo.

As mentioned, in NT7, the candles have borders, the wicks are darker, easier to see, etc.

Hello,

Thank you for your post. Please follow the steps below to adjust the properties for the Candlestick.
-Right click on the Chart in question and go to Data Series
-On the right click the arrow next to Candle body outline
-Set your desired thickness and color for the Candle Body Outline
-Repeat these steps for the Candle Wick as well
-Click OK
