    Cancelling an uncanceallable order?

    I have 1 order that cannot be cancelled. This thing has been around for weeks. But it just says cancel pending in the orders tab. Clicking the X does nothing. I get warned about it every time I want to quit NT8.

    how can I cancel this thing? it is on a sim account so it is just an annoyance.

    Glad to assist. To clear the order, please reset the sim101 account.
    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the Accounts tab
    • Right click on your simulation account and select 'Edit Account'
    • Press the "Reset" button

      will this not affect my history? I don't want to lose my trading history

        Unfortunately this will be needed to clear the orders. Only the sim trade history will need to be reset in order to clear the stuck order.

            No, this would still keep all orders because both live and sim orders are stored in the database. To clarify, regarding the stuck sim order reported, the only method to clear this would be by resetting the sim account and clearing the sim trade history (see post #2 for steps). There is no additional workaround to clear the order at this time.

              so apart from the annoyance I guess it wouldn't hurt just to leave it there? since I don't want to lose my history. Or could it cause or be related to other problems?

                We do recommend clearing the order. We couldn't speculate on what issues may come up, though it may be best to avoid any that may be caused by leaving the order by removing the erroneous order.
