Historical data in your archives is corrupt

    Hi,

Can anyone assist with this issue. Anytime I load a chart up (any forex currency) it pops up with the pop up window below. Once cleared it pops up again, only with a different date range.

I have completely cleared out my historical data and Market Reply dataa by going to Tools > Historical Data and removing all entries but the message still appears.

Is there anyway to clear the cache that it seems to be somehow maintaining?

    Thanks,
    M

    Hello spook202,

    Thank you for your post.

Glad to assist. To test, please use the steps below to clear the data cache manually.

Please close NinjaTrader and navigate to the following directory:

    * My Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > Db

Delete the contents of the cache, tick, minute and day folders. Now, when you restart NinjaTrader and connect to your data feed, NinjaTrader will load new data.

Let me know if you experience the same error after taking these steps.

      Thanks Eric.
I wiped everything but kept getting the errors strangely. I stripped all of the indicators off of my chart and it appears to be the Woodies Pivot indicator that's generating the error. Anytime its attached to a chart it gives me those popups.
      Any idea why?
I've made a custom trading hours template (GMT 8AM to 8PM). maybe that's throwing it off :S.

        Thank you for your reply,

Testing on my end, I am able to load Forex pair charts with the indicator without issue. It is likely the indicator and data feed combination may be causing the error.

Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

(For a chart) what interval is selected?

How many days to load are in use? To check , right click on the chart > Data Series > Days to load.

What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

We look forward to assisting further.

          Hi Eric,

          I'm connected to FXCM.
Its a Renko Chart using the custom ninZaRenko chart type. 100 Bar 50 Trend Threshold
          5 Days.
          Only Major Forex Pairs.

With those said, the errors appears on any chart type (Renko, Range, Minutes etc). It happens if I only load 1 day or 30 and happens with any forex pair.

Its strange as the indicator actually works fine. its just when you make any changes to the chart or add an indicator or refresh anything that it will pop up with these errors.
          It's more annoying than anything.

            Thank you for your reply.

So we can further diagnose your system, can you please let me know if you see the same when loaded in Safe Mode?

Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:

            Loading workspaces.
            Connecting on start-up.
            Loading custom assemblies.
Getting instrument updates from the server.
To enable safe mode, please use the following steps:

            Exit NinjaTrader.
Hold the CONTROL key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
Keep the CONTROL key held down until you see the Control Center.
You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.

Once loaded in Safe Mode, connect to the data feed and open please test opening a chart. If loaded without issue, vary interval types to narrow the issue.

We look forward to assisting further.
