    Net Change Indicator not working for ^TICK symbol

    Why doesn't the NET CHANGE indicator work for ^TICK? How do I fix this?

    Hi mrlucky1x, thanks for your note.

    I was able to get the net change indicator to display. Are there any errors in the log tab of your Control Center? What bar type are you using this on (minute, tick, etc)?

      I get an error in the log that says, "Failed to resolve instruments for market data: DJTIC is not enabled for real-time quotes and trading". However the chart does come up and I have it mapped to TDameritrade. Other symbols are working fine with TD. TD symbol is $TICK.

        Thanks for your reply.

        My symbol mapping for IB is set to "TICK-NYSE". If you change it to this call you pull up the ^TICK chart in NT?

          That doesn't help me because I use TDameritrade not IB. I can get the chart to load but it doesn't update. Do you know why this is happening?

            Hello, mrlucky1x my apologies.

            I tested TDA and it turns out they do not provide Last Close data for ^TICK, and that data type is required for Net Change to calculate properly.

                There are also "data only" data feeds that are not brokers like Kinetick or IQ feed that will provide a large variety of different instruments and indexes.
