Form Threads Scroll to bottom

Every time I search for a thread on Google in the NT forum, I click the link and the page opens.
The only issue is the thread opens at the top and auto scrolls to the bottoms of the page.

What is causing this?
I've tried it in Chrome, Firefox and IE.

All behave the same way for me?

The forum tries to show you the most recent activity in a thread. This is expected. It doesn't look like this can be changed in forum or user settings unfortunately.
