    Market analyzer columns

    Hi,

When I reopen a workspace the column sizes frequently change. I reformat the size and save template and workspace but frequently on reopening NT 8 the column sizes are not as saved.

    Thanks for any help

    Hello,
    Thanks for your post.
Are you saving the Market Analyzer template as your default?
To do so, arrange the columns to your preferred width then right-click on the Market Analyzer and select "Templates," then "Save as Default."
This will ensure that the column size will be correct upon opening the Analyzer.
Please let me know if I may assist you any further.

Thanks for replying..I use multiple tabs of market analyzer in a workspace as well as multiple market analyzers across other workspaces all formatted differently. So I really need each workspace to save as formatted. Therefore I don't believe I can use the default setting.

        Hello,
        Thank you for the response.
Through testing out your inquiry I discovered that you should actually be able to save your workspace and retain the sizes of your columns, but under certain circumstances that is not happening.
I will update you when I have more information on that front.
In the meantime, you may be able to get around this limitation by manually saving your workspaces. If you save each workspace with your Columns set through the Control Center (through Workspaces->Save).
When you exit NinjaTrader, and it prompts you asking "Do you want to save" select "No."
Now when you re-open NinjaTrader your columns will be where you left them.
I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate you patience.

I'm experiencing this problem in NT 8.0.22.2 64-bit. Is a fix or workaround now available?

                  Hello NtFan,

                  Thanks for the note.

This fix was implemented in 8.0.19.0.

Please send us your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email: 2169803 ATTN Melissa

Thanks in advance; I look forward to resolving your inquiry.

                    Hi Melissa,

I tried to send my log + trace files, but the upload failed. Here's what NT reported. "Uploading files... Unable to upload attachment files to support server. Please try again later. Support request email will be send out though: Unable to connect to remote server"

In any case, I've restarted NT a couple of times, and Market Analyzer is now storing and restoring Market Analyzer columns as expected. As such, there's no need to pursue this issue further.

                    Thank you.
