    Data charts ill not load again.

    Third ti this has happened. Connected to IB data and charts just stop loading. Just get the "loading" on the charts with no change , cannot change time frames. Using the latest NT and the TWS that is supported.

    If I was trading live this would be an extremely major issue. It has been 10 minutes now with this problem. No way I could feel comfortable trading live.

    Is this a new symptom? Or has this always been the case when connecting to Interactive Brokers? If the former, what changed about your PC, NinjaTrader, or TWS that coincided with this symptom?

    The newest version of TWS is not officially supported. Do these same symptoms persist if you use the supported version (973.2)? Here is a direct download link:

      I use (973.2) after the first time it happened. but this is about the 2nd time it has happened now after switching to supported TWS. Nothing really has changed with anything on my PC but that. Everything from IB data in their TWS is running fine.

        Everything working fine in TWS is not really a good indicator that everything will be fine in another program accessing Interactive Brokers data, like NinjaTrader. Interactive Brokers has certain restrictions and limitations on how their data can be requested which can sometimes introduce the symptoms you're experiencing. Here is a link with more information about this:

        TWS API v9.72: Historical Data Limitations
        • How many workspaces are open? In those workspaces, how many total charts are there? In those chart windows, how many chart tabs are there? In those chart tabs, how many indicators are there?
        • What interval is selected? For example, 5 minute, 1 day, 2000 volume, 4 Renko, etc.
        • What is the 'days to load' of your charts? To check, right-click on your chart > Data series > "days to load" property

          I run 2 workspaces with about 4 to 5 charts each on it over the course of the opening half hour. I have 15 days per charts and look at 10 - 15 and 30 minute charts switching as the day progresses.

          Does NT8 not give the message when IB is restricting data? I use t get an abrupt noise and message years ago. That mainly happened from trying to load symbols into a complex market analyzer filter.

            We've tweaked how the Interactive Brokers API works to reduce the possibility of getting 'cut off' by Interactive Brokers. This 'cut off' is referred to as a 'pacing violation'. If Interactive Brokers detects a pacing violation, it will completely disable your data feed for a period of time. This is what you're referring to.

            From Interactive Brokers link above, here is relevant information about their data feed:
            • Although Interactive Brokers offers our clients high quality market data, IB is not a specialised market data provider and as such it is forced to put in place restrictions to limit traffic which is not directly associated to trading.
