How to setup a cost-effective day-trading platform for stocks...

Hello awesome NinjaTrader community!

I have recently purchased the software and gradually going through its many tutorials and videos...

I am interested in the day trading of US stock market equities (NASDAQ, NYSE, ETFs etc)

The tutorials and videos look fantastic to trading futures and forex but attempting to configure the platform for day trading stock market equities is running into several problems:

1. I have purchased a subscription to Kinetick at around $65 per month but unfortunately the data feed NinjaTrader receives is delayed 15 minutes (which makes it useless for day trading)
2. I have opened and funded a new account with Interactive Brokers and purchased their US equity data feed (around $4.50 per month) but unfortunately this data is also delayed by 15 mins in their own software.

My question: what is the most cost-effective way to setup NinjaTrader for the day trading of stock market equities? (ie. obtain inexpensive real-time stock market data feeds)

Hello JPPoulin,

To receive real time data for equities on the NYSE and NASDAQ from Kinetick you will need to add the NYSE $7 and NASDAQ $7 to your account. You can email Kinetick at [email protected] to adjust your subscriptions.

I'm pretty sure I did that as currently they are charging me around $65 per month... and I still see 15 mins data delayed.

Have I selected the right packages? Is a less-expensive option available?
