Help Downloading More Market Replay Data

Hello,

ill keep things short and sweet. (everything is about forex data)

1. how far back does the market replay data go back on the downloader within NT 8? Right now all i can download is 1.1.18 through current date. so basically only this year. and nothing last year...

2. Is there any resource anyone can recommend me to download more Market replay data for NT8 from the past. like all of 2017, 2016, 2015 etc?

its really annoying not being able to download more than the past 4 months.... i know that data is out there somewhere...

Thank you for your post.

1) Market Replay is a free service that NinjaTrader offers to all platform users. NinjaTrader's historical data server will provide Market Replay data 90 days back from the current date. We currently are tracking a feature request to provide Market Replay data going back 365 days, but I do not have an ETA for this request.

2) I am not aware of any third-party providers that would offer additional replay data for the NinjaTrader platform.

thank you for clearing up the 90 day market replay thing.

for the additional data. i know its outthere i heard someone talking about a few websites but they are for NT7. but thanks anyway.

Hello travelingsalesman,

NinjaTrader 7's replay servers typically will have more market replay data available but will not exceed 1 years worth of replay data.

You can attempt to download the market replay data in NinjaTrader 7 and then trigger the migration prompt in NinjaTrader 8 to migrate the data from NinjaTrader 7 to NinjaTrader 8.

To retrigger the migration prompt, you will need to edit the configuration file.

1. First ensure NinjaTrader 8 is closed.
   
2. Open the NinjaTrader 8 Config File with Notepad.
   
3. Look for the migration line and delete the line entirely
   I've attached an image of what the migration line looks like to this post for your reference.
   
4. Save the config file.
   
5. Launch NinjaTrader 8 and you will receive the migration prompt.

Please note that during the migration process the following information mentioned in the migration guide will be migrated over from NinjaTrader 7:
