    NT 8 won't start up...

    Hello,

    I went to fire up NT8 this morning, the logo screen splashes, then it does it's chime, and shuts down.. Thats it..!

    Thank you for posting.

    So that we may investigate I would ask that you contact us by email at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. In your message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace files. You will find these diagnostic files in the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > Trace folder. We will need to review a copy of the files which are named 'trace.20190802.XXXXX.txt'. There will likely be multiple files for each day.

      Both the trace and log files were sent... Did you receive them...???

        The Log and Trace files have been sent using wetransfer.com.. With... ATTN: Drew 2231219" in the message.

          Holding down the CONTROL and double clicking to start up Ninjatrader as you described in your email... It still won't start up..

              Drew,

              After following your directions in your email.. And the download and installation of the new Windows 10 update.. There is NO change to the problem of Ninjatrader failing to boot up..

              Looking forward to a fix..

                Thanks for following up on the forum post.


                So far we've identified some .NET errors in your Windows Event Viewer logs, which we're looking into addressing. Based on your reply, it sounds like Windows identified an update available for .NET and installed it. I've requested an updated copy of your Event Logs in your Support case, so please reply there with the logs.

                Different applications can log different information in these files, so please don't upload them here on the forum to be certain security for private information is maintained.

                  Drew,

                  The new install worked... I need direction on how to configure the connections.. Need the User name and Password...
                  Also will need direction on how to move over the Indicators and Strategies to the new install...

                    Everything is copied over.. But the connections didn't get configured when I copied over the config.xml file..

                    I can't connect live... It's still asking for User Name: and Password:
