Extended Trading Hours Question

I am confused about RTH and ETH real-time updates for US Equities trading on the NASDAQ and NYSE using a simple Market Analyzer and need your help understanding.

I have tickers (US Equities) with Trading Hours set to RTH. Before and after RTH hours, the market analyzer still receives updates for Last Trade/Time Last Tick.

Questions:

1) Is the Market Analyzer supposed to receive ETH updates outside of the RTH hours? This isn't an issue, just trying to understand.

2) And if I want to receive ETH updates, should I change all my tickers trading hours to ETH, or is sufficient to get the same behavior (ETH updates in the Market Analyzer) using the default RTH settings for the ticker? Is there any difference from the Market Analyzer perspective of receiving price updates?

Thanks for the post.

Instruments loaded into the Market Analyzer do not have trading hours templates, and will display data as long as there is data streaming for that instrument. Therefore ETH data would be expected for all instruments loaded into the market analyzer by default.

The trading hours templates will be in respect to charting only.
