    NinjaTrader8 RT Data Configuration for Indian MCX Market

    Hello Support Team,

    I 'm using NinjaTrader8 for Indian MCX Market. RT Data part using Personal utility to feed into NT8.,No more issues, works fine.

    When i try to backfill, previous days missing data, Pls advice..How to proceed?

    Note : I can download previous days data and Iimport it to NinjaTrader8. thru Control Center-->Tools-->Historical Data Manager But struggle to load on Chart thru Historical Data Manager. Enclosed Error for ur reference.

    Based on Previous Mail discussion,

    Tip: If you are importing historical data for a futures or forex instrument, the instrument MUST exist in the Instrument Manager. If it does not, you must add it first

    Yes, I added the Instrument name on Instrument Manager, No doubt, bcoz live RT Data is fine.

      Thank you for your post.

      From the screen shots, the error seems to be regarding a "COPPERM" instrument - "CRUDEOIL" is displayed in the second screen shots via Tools > Instruments.

      Has COPPERM also been created?

          Likely the error is generated when the data is requested.

          To confirm, who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on lower left corner of the Control Center window via hovering your mouse.

          What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.0)

            OK.Fine. Using External Connection (Trading Terminal based External Utility)

            NT8 Version : 8.0.12.0

            Note : Few days data can be backfilled,refer attachment.

              Please write into to PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]Com along with your log and trace files and a link to this forum post.


              Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.
              *
              Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
              *
              Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
              *
              Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
              *
              Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

                  Since you are running an older version of NinjaTrader, I suggest to upgrade and re-test:

                  Now Upgraded to Recent Version 8.0.13.1., But Still facing the issue., Any Solution.?

                  Enclosed Attachment.

                  Step 1 : Symbol Backfilled Successfully.
                  Step 2 : Backfill data Stored and Imported into NT8 thru Historical Data Manager.
                  Step 3 : Error Log message. (Hope Same as yesterday.)
                  Step 4 : Error Pop up Window.

                  Note : As per ur yesterday Conclusion

                  "2018-04-26 12:55:09:302|0|4|Error on requesting bars series: 'Unknown instrument 'CRUDEOIL''
                  2018-04-26 13:01:52:373|3|4|CRUDEOIL: Time stamp in line 1 at 26/04/189:15:00 AM is smaller/equal than timestamp of previous line: 20180426 091500; 0.00; 0.00; 0.00; 0.00; 0;"

                  It looks like perhaps the data that was imported for CRUDEOIL instrument was in an incorrect format?

                  What is the Actual Correct format?
                  Hope this format Support yesterday. but not in today.

                  20180426 100000; 4576.0000; 4579.0000; 4575.0000; 4576.0000; 340;
                  DATE/TIME/OPEN/HIGH/LOW/CLOSE/VOLUME

                    Hello rpsvinod,

                    Thank you for your reply, sorry to hear this has persisted.

                    Because the issue is with a third-party addon, I suggest performing and uninstall then a reinstall per the vendor's instructions.

                    If you still see the same on a clean installation, you will need to report the error and behavior you are seeing to the vendor to look into further. We do not have resources to assist with issues with third party products.
