    Continuum user or password not working LIVE or DEMO

    I just tried to sign back into NT8 for the first time in a few months and I get the error message in the screenshot.

    I have not changed anything since the last time I logged on.

    I tried to re-enter my password and still not working.

    I updated NT8 to the newest version and still not working.

    Is this a 14-day demo connection or a connection to a funded brokerage account?

    The connection name is showing Continuum (Demo).

    As a heads up the 14-day demo will expire 14 days after the day you receive the username and password in email.

    If this is a live account, it may be locked by your broker due to in-activity.

    Your version of NinjaTrader may be out of date. Currently, NinjaTrader 8 is on 8.0.18.1.

      I have a lifetime membership. It does the same thing for live and demo data.

      I have a user name and password for lifetime membership. It has always worked automatically when I open NT8. now it doesn't

      I updated to 8.0.18.1. and still wont work.

        Hello Johnny Santiago,

        The license key that would be lifetime for trading live on the platform is separate from any username and password for a brokerage account or data feed that would be connected to.

        The most common reasons a connection fails is due to:
        • A space being include before and/or after the username and/or password.
          -Please try copying and pasting the username and password from the original email you have received these in, and be sure no spaces are included with the username or password.
        • The 'Demo mode' box is unchecked for a demo account or is checked for a funded brokerage account.
          -Please ensure if this is a demo account that the Demo mode checkbox is checked
          -If this is a funded brokerage account, please ensure the Demo mode checkbox is unchecked.
        • The 14-day demo connection has expired
        • The funded brokerage account is locked due to in-activity or low funds
        • The version of NinjaTrader is out of date (current versions are 8.0.18.1 and 7.0.1000.40)

        If you have contacted your broker to ensure the funded account is unlocked and data subscriptions are enabled, please send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com so that we may schedule a call with you to assist copying and pasting the username and password in and ensuring the demo box is unchecked.

        In the email please write Attn: Chelsea and include a link to this forum thread.

          Were you able to connect after checking the most common issues?

          May I confirm your account is funded and is ready to trade?

          Have you emailed platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com?
