Order Flow Volumetric Bar Types

Hello.
I like the latest improvements added to NT8's footprint chart but there is one issue that causes me concern. I currently use a third party footprint chart and I also have a third party reversal bar type loaded on my copy of NT8. With this setup I can display a footprint on a reversal bar type and this can help to see the auction process more clearly if one chooses the appropriate reversal amount. As far as I can see the standard NT8 Volumetric setup can only be used on time, tick, volume or range charts.The standard NT8 point and figure chart is similar to a reversal bar type but is not listed as an option when you want to use the Volumetric setup. There is simply no option to use the NT8 Volumetric setup on a user added bar type such as a reversal bar. Is there a work around for this issue or am I missing something? Some of the better quality training material available for order flow analysis do recommend the use of reversal charts for some trade setups so I don't feel this is an unusual request.

I've sent a feature request for you to our developers for allowing the use of custom/exotic bar types with the Volumetric Bars. It may be tracked under the number SFT-4239. Should this be included in a future release you may find it in the release notes by this number.

I came in the forums looking for a similar request, so I'll post here to avoid duplicate requests. I would like to be able to use Volumetric bars with 'Point and Figure' as 'Base period type'. Currently, you can only choose from Tick, Volume, Second, Minute, Day, Week, Month, Year and Range. Point and Figure is already available as a default bar type in NT so this should be easy to implement.

If Reversal bars could also be added, that would be great. Reversal Bar charts are almost identical to Point and Figure charts but they are constructed from the Real Open price of the time bar. In all other respects the representation is the same.

If this feature cannot be found in NT, then I'll have to consider switching to Investor/RT or Sierra Chart.

Any update on this SFT-3013? Please add my vote as well. This is a standard feature in most platforms including Sierra Charts. Can you provide any timeframe instead of standard response.
