What is the recommended way to save everything you have on a chart without making them global drawing objects (assuming that does it)? Thanks.

Any way to save draw objects??
I spend a lot of time marking charts up etc but if I close the chart or NT restarts due to a Windows update at night I lose everything. I have tried saving as a template, saving workspace etc but always lose my draw objects in this event.
What is the recommended way to save everything you have on a chart without making them global drawing objects (assuming that does it)? Thanks.Tags: None

Hello fxRichard,
Thank you for your post.
You can enable an alert that will prevent charts from being closed without confirmation. To enable this, go to Tools > Options > select "Confirm on window or tab close" > Press OK.
Drawing objects are saved on open charts when the workspace(s) are saved. To make sure these are able to be recalled in general, I suggest creating regular backups. This would be the best method to ensure the drawings can be restored in case of unexpected shutdowns or situations where you cannot save. Reminders to run the backups can also be enabled (Tools > Export > Backup File...).
See the below section of our help guide for more on Backup / Restore...
