    Assigning a Hot Key

I'm trying to assign a Shift+NumPad1 hot key for something, but I'm getting this error.

    Ctrl+NumPad1 works fine.

    Am I doing something wrong?

I can reproduce this symptom. I'll report this to the Development Team and follow up with what I discover.

Thanks in advance for your patience.

After further research, it turns out that using SHIFT a a modifier is a limitation of WPF which is a fundamental UI framework that NinjaTrader 8 is built on. For example SHIFT + O. Control + Shift + O would work however. There are some caveats and certain keys work with SHIFT (SHIFT+END seems to work for example). You can learn more about this WPF limitation here:

I have submitted this as a feature request to the Development Team. The internal tracking number for your feature request is SFT-4291. Please reference this internal tracking number if you ever have questions regarding this feature request.

When a feature request is implemented, you'll find it in the release notes:

So we'll be possibly able to use e.g. Shift+NumPad1 as a hot key?

In my testing, Shift+NumPad1 works as long as num lock is disabled. This technically makes the hotkey Shift+End.

Ok, but I tried to figure out what is a feature request you submitted to Development Team about.

The feature request will explore the possibility of working around the WPF limitation. If this limitation can be worked around, then yes, I suspect Shift+any key would be possible.
