I have recently been toying with CFD's, but cannot get any historical data at all. My realtime data comes from Kinnetick, but my broker is IB. I realise the CFD data has to come from IB and I do get it OK in real-time. In my market data options, 'interactive brokers' is set as the preferred historical data provider for CFD's. But, My sessions or chart refresh always starts with an empty chart. They charts only build from real-time data.
Searching on the web, IB seems to say they provide historical bid and ask data, so I wonder why it is not working.
Anything I have to/can check? I'd love to be able to get a few days, or at least the current session, which from what I read, should certainly be possible.
Testing on @US30, @GER30, and @SPX500, if that helps.
OK - SCRATCH THAT! I just realised I can get _time based_ historical data.( I actually don;t use time based charts). It's only range and tick charts that are not available. I guess range is built from tick and hence, no go as no tick data!

edit : I just found a post that suggests this is actually an NT8 limitation. Post here https://ninjatrader.com/support/foru...d.php?t=105898 If so, please do add my vote for this feature. Can't really think of an alternative workaround without it.
