    Re-Install

    I did a new install of NT 8 and was wondering if I could move some built strategies in to the new install from the old. Is it possible?

    Thanks for the post.

    One option would be to backup and restore your entire NinjaTrader program from the old computer to the new:



    If you just want to transfer the strategies, you would want to move the specific files from the old computer to the same file location on the new computer. Strategies will be located in Documents/NinjaTrader/bin/custom/strategy

      Thank you. So copy and paste the contents from the Strategy Folder in the new install or the entire folder?

        You would copy any strategy you wanted to transfer and place it in the strategy folder of the new install.

          I did notice I had to add the "@" symbol in front of the strategy I transferred to the new build. And it only showed up after I compiled it. Are these steps required every time?

              I copied the .cs file from old folder to the new folder and then tried opening it in NT8.

                Thanks for the reply.

                So far I have been unable to reproduce this on my end.

                Which version of NinjaTrader 8 are you running on each machine? You can check by going to Help>About (8.0.xx.x)?
