Chart trader stop
To put in a stop in chart trader I have to right click then select buy or sell which sometimes is too slow. Or I have to have stops sitting on my chart which is risky with big candles. Is there a way to put a stop in quicker in chart trader? Something like pressing a keyboard key and left clicking to put it in?Tags: None

Hello Barry Milan,
Thanks for posting to the forums.
Yes, this would be possible. You could set up a hot key for ChartTrader to sumbit orders. More information can be found below in our Help Guide article regarding this topic:

Thanks for your reply. I know how to apply hot keys. What I don't understand is how I add a left mouse click to the hot key to position the stop on the chart. I can't seem to work that out other than right clicking and selecting the menu at a specific price which is slow What I want to do is put my mouse pointer at a price point, hold the hot key, and left click to put the stop in. Is this possible?

Hello,
Thanks for that clarification.
Unfortunately, a hot key cannot be defined in this particular manner as the left click would have a different function when clicked directly on the chart (selection), and setting a stop with 2 clicks would be the fastest way to manually place a stop order. You could use an ATM strategy to automatically submit your stop loss and profit targets automatically once your entry order is hit, which would be the fastest way to place a stop in NinjaTrader.
