Trying to understand chart horizontal scale.

Hi,
One of the things that always irritated me is that the horizontal time scale is never consistently populated like other platforms such as Tradestation. It seems to have some kind of 'intelligence' logic behind it but never seems to display correctly. For example I have the following two charts that I have literally duplicated from another chart on my screen but changed the symbols. I really don't understand how there are now times displayed on the top chart between 14:00 and 16:00. Frankly, I'd say the bottom chart needs some more times filled in between the 1/2 hr gradations .To put the problem into context, on another offscreen chart I have absolutely no times displayed before 16:00!
Can someone kindly explain how these scales work and how to get the most out of the scales?

Note that I have turned off the equidistant bar spacing because this completely distorts the chart if I am using extended hours as a lot of quities don't trade after regular hours.

I cannot recreate this symptom when following these steps:

• Connect to data
• Create a 1 minute ATUS chart (all properties default, no template)
• Disable equidistant bar spacing
• Duplicate the chart in a new window
• Change the new chart symbol to HAS

Can you recreate this symptom on a newly created chart? If so, please tell me the exact steps you're following.
