Scrolling or compressing a simple chart horizontally changes the location of any drawn MA type indicator with Scale Justification set as Overlay or Left. This would be OK if the MA type indicator has a non-price vertical scale. However, the overlay or left status should not impact the location relationship of MA type indicators relative to price location.
Example:
1. Draw a simple chart with Scale Justification = Right
2. Plot a 50 SMA with Scale Justification = Overlay or Left
3. Scroll or compress the Horizontal scale and observe how the location of SMA relative to price changes.
In the example above both chart and the indicator must have the same Scale justification to avoid the issue.
This is not necessarily an issue. However, such indicators use Overlay for scale justification to reduce clutter in vertical grid and they visually look weird when scrolling the chart. For non-anchored price-scale indicators, such as moving averages, the scale justification should be automatically defaulted the same as the price plot Scale justification setting.
Cheers!
