Diff and math

Hello

Rookie question... How do I plot the ratio and diff between two variables? Say I have the momentum of the close and the momentum of something else, and I just want to plot the ratio between the two?

This would require creating a custom ninjascript based indicator.

If you are interested in creating this yourself, we can provide links to help get you started using Ninjascript which is based on C# programming language.

Alternatively, if you would like it created for you, we can provide references to 3rd party providers of that type service.

I guess my question was if you know of an indicator, native or not, that does this. Its pretty vanilla stuff (and built in to most other platforms I use), so I thought there was something out there that was plug and play.

I think I have see this for NT7, but cannot find anything for NT8.

If you, or anybody else, know of an already existing indic, please let the forum know.

If you know of something for NT7 that does what you need and it is on our forum, please post the NT7 link (or advise the indicator name) and we can take a closer look. We've converted most of the indicators that are uploaded to the NT7 filesharing area.

I found an indicator named "Spread NT8" on your forum:

Unfortunatley, it seems like it needs at least one instrument as an input though, and I am looking for the ratio (or spread with multipliers) between two indicators...

Correct, that indicator (and 2 others there) are for plotting the difference between two instruments.

Perhaps others in the community will be able to advise if they are aware of an existing indicator that would meet your needs.

Yes - perhaps and hopefully there is a kind ninja-soul somewhere out there who would share an indic that does just this...
