Alert for Price Under a Major Support Area and VPOC?

Hello,

I looked around but cant seem to fine a way to set an alert for when price moves under a major support area and also under the volume profile VPOC.
Is there any way to do this?

Thank you for posting.

To access Alerts within NinjaTrader 8, right click on the Chart or the window you wish to set up the Alert and Press Alerts. I have included a helpful guide on this:

To confirm, have you attempted to design an Alert already? If so, could you please provide a screenshot of your Alert Configuration?

To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.

Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

Lastly, what version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.? or 8.0.?.?)

I want to be able to have NT8 alert me when price crosses below a line I draw on the chart.
I also would like for the alert to be reset when I move the line. (If possible).

Thank you for your reply.

In your first inquiry you wrote in about setting up an Alert using the Volume Profile Indicator, which I would like to address first. To use the Indicator in the Alert, you must first add it to the Chart. Please follow these steps:

• Right click on your Chart and select Indicators
• Locate the Order Flow Volume Profile Indicator and add it to your Chart by double left clicking it
• Configure the Indicator and Press OK

Next, right click and select the Alerts Window. Within the Conditions, press add. Order Flow Volume Profile becomes an option to select for Alert Conditions. I have included a screenshot of a sample Alert:



Next, unfortunately there is currently not a condition to re-arm the Alert when the line gets moved. You would need to use a different re-arm condition as a work-around.

As mentioned above, currently there is not a Re-Arm condition that will re-arm the Alert based on your moving the object.
