How to make drawing objects persistent on a chart indicator?

example:

1. new chart EURUSD 1M
2. add ATR
3. add a horizontal line, select it, choose properties, auto scale
4. add a yellow instrument link

5. new market analyzer
6. add a bunch of forex symbols
7. add a yellow instrument link

8. choose a symbol in the market analyzer (not EURUSD) so that it changes the symbol on the chart

9. look at the ATR indicator on the chart
10. probably the line is gone
11. if it is still there try switching a few more times via the market analyzer and probably it will dissappear

How can I make this line stay there so that I can change the chart symbol via the instrument link and NOT lose the drawing objects on the indicator?

Hello NinjaCustomer,

Thank you for your post. To clarify, instrument linking allows windows with the same color selected to switch instruments at the same time - there is no effect on the drawing objects.

As a work around, drawing object can be enabled as a Global Drawing Object so it will show on all charts of the instrument - there is not a method to enable across multiple instuments at this time.

To enable global drawings double click on the object > select "All charts" from the Attach to drop down. See the below section of our help guide for more on global drawing objects.

if there is no effect then why does the line dissappear? I specifically created a new chart following the steps I wrote above just to confirm it wasn't just an issue with my current charts.

there is no "All Charts" in the dropdown "Attach to".. just the indicator it is attached to

My apologies for the oversight, Attach to is not an option that is available for drawing objects in indicator panels - each are only saved to the local chart panel. To clarify, drawing objects are saved to the instrument they are drawn to in either case, this is why the drawing object is not available when switching to a separate instrument.

I will submit a feature request so instrument and feedback in this function is tracked for later consideration.

it is common for example for people to draw horizontal lines on indicator panes to mark a certain level , so please implement this feature. thanks.
