Remove Old Accounts listed in the Strategy setup account list

    Remove Old Accounts listed in the Strategy setup account list

    When I go to a strategy and try to select an account to use, it shows old accounts I do not use anymore. These accounts are not listed in the Accounts Tab of the Control Panel, only in the Strategy setup area.

    Thank you for your post.

    This is actually something our development team is aware of and that we've had them looking at - we currently have a tracking number NTEIGHT-14188 for this behavior where disconnected accounts are appearing in the Account drop-down in the Strategy window.

    As new releases of NinjaTrader 8 become available, please check the release notes for this ID.



    Once the ID is listed, please update and then test to ensure the behavior is corrected.

      Is there a workaround for now like in NT7 removing a database file?

        There is no current workaround other than to ignore the accounts you are not using.

          The new release still doesn't have this fix on the new release. Any hope getting this done?

            Hello kramnor2001,

            Product Management and our Development team have noticed some bad side effects when moving forward with the change presented in NTEIGHT-14188. The change has not made it into the current release of NinjaTrader. As of now we are tracking impact before considering other ways to approach this.

            For anyone else on the forum experiencing issues on this item, please let us know that this affects you and you would like to have your impact tracked with NTEIGHT-14188.

            After further impact is tracked, additional solutions will be investigated.
