lag while navigating chart

I have a i7 6700hq process with a gtx 1060 graphics card and 32gb ram.

I am using NT 8.0.14.2 64-bit and have went into nvidia settings to make sure NT uses the nvidia graphics card.

So the problem I have is that navigating/scrolling through my charts starts to lag as I go into higher timeframes.

I initially thought the lag was due to having too many days loaded on my charts but that is not the case.

For example, the ES 5min chart with 900 days loaded is extremely snappy when navigating/scrolling the chart.

On the other hand, the ES 720min chart with an identical 900 days loaded lags a lot. As I increase the time frames to 240m, 360m, 720m, and finally 1440m, the charts become really laggy and it becomes a pain to draw lines and whatnot while scrolling back and forth between different dates within the chart.

This is pretty important to me b/c I do a lot of chart drawing on higher timeframes.

I guess I should clarify that the problem is not a lag with candles forming on the chart. The problem is when I try to navigate the chart (whether by click-and-dragging sideways on the chart, increase/decrease bar width, use the horizontal scrollbar to view older candles).

Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with "ATTN CHRIS S" in the subject line so I may investigate this matter further.

* Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
* Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
* Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
* Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
